NEW YORK STATE EARTH SCIENCE TEACHERS CONFERENCE

LAMONT-DOHERY EARTH OBSERVATORY &

ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE

 

 

Directions to STAC:

 

From the south: George Washington Bridge to Palisades Interstate Parkway Exit 5 North—Follow Route 303 North to Rt. 340, turn right at the traffic light and go less than ½ mile to the campus.

 

From the north via the New York State Thruway: Exit 13/Palisades Intestate Parkway to Exit 5 North and proceed as above.

 

From Westchester via the Tappan Zee Bridge: Exit 10 to Rt. 9W South—bear right at the first traffic light, go downhill and turn right onto Rt. 340; proceed about a mile to the campus.

 

 

Directions to LDEO:

 

From the south: George Washington Bridge/NJ Highways to Palisades Interstate Parkway

Exit 4—Turn left at light and go up the hill to entrance on the right.

 

From the north via the New York State Thruway/Palisades Interstate Parkway South—Exit 4, turn right, go downhill under parkway and up to the top of the hill to the entrance on the right.

 

From Westchester via the Tappan Zee Bridge: Exit 10 to Rt. 9W South about 5 miles—the entrance will be on the left at the top of a long, curving hill.

 

 

From STAC to LDEO:  

 

Turn east onto Rt. 340 (right turn from residence hall area, left turn from academic building area). Turn left by Mountain House Restaurant and go uphill. Turn right at light onto Rt. 9W south for about two miles to entrance on left at top of hill.

 

 

From LDEO to STAC:

 

Turn right (north) onto Rt. 9W for about two miles. Turn left at second light (apartments on right), go downhill to Rt. 340, and turn right for about a mile to the campus. McNellis Residence Halls on left, academic buildings on right.
