with Carl Brenner

5 May 2012

Carl Brenner is a Technical Services Specialist with the Borehole Research Group (BRG) at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. Several years ago, he added to his impressive resume of scientific and engineering accomplishments from BRG involvement with ocean and land-based drilling the first educational "graphic novel" based on research and life aboard the "JOIDES Resolution." There are now 6 "Tales of the Resolution" novels, available as pdf downloads at
 http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/BRG/outreach/media/tales/index.html.

In this final E2C for the 2011-2012 school year, we'll chat with Carl about how educational graphic novels are created and network about effective use in the classroom.
